Sketching at the Natural History
What You’ll Do:
Want a magical and creative break from the city? Then I invite you to sketch with me in one of the most breathtaking and enchanting areas in London, the Natural History Museum.
We’ll jump into the animal world where we will find out about them and interpret what their lives could have been like. You’ll be encouraged to consider drawing A Day in the Life of the specimen that you were drawn to. How do you think they lived and survived? Perhaps you want to include aspect of that around the animal you’ve chosen to draw.
Towards the end we’ll have a closing reflection or exhibit of our drawings, where you can share what inspired you or a notable detail you noticed in your subject.
This event is accessible and enjoyable for participants at all skill levels.
The Highlights:
A great way to unwind from the city
You're not expected to create an ultra-realistic art piece but to enjoy the process and create at your own speed and level
Your own individual sketches to take home
Sketch in an interesting relaxing environment
Share your drawings with the group and reflect on your experience
Draw a "Day in the life" of the animal your were drawn to
Average length: 2 hrs
